We are a global community conservation organization that advances the vision and work of Dr. Jane Goodall. By protecting chimpanzees and inspiring people to conserve the natural world we all share, we improve the lives of people, animals and the environment. Everything is connected—everyone can make a difference.
We advance the vision and work of Dr. Jane Goodall to lead a movement of conservation for the common good—one that builds on our connections to each other, our fellow species, and the natural world we all share. Following in the trailblazing footsteps of our founder, we inspire hope through action, encouraging individuals around the world to join us in taking care of the planet we call home. Whether we’re restoring chimpanzee habitat, improving women’s health in a nearby village, or working with our Roots & Shoots youth groups in nearly 100 countries, we find practical ways to make the greatest lasting impact for people, animals and the environment.

NRDC works to safeguard the earth—its people, its plants and animals, and the natural systems on which all life depends. We believe the world’s children should inherit a planet that will sustain them as it has sustained us. NRDC works to ensure the rights of all people to the air, the water and the wild, and to prevent special interests from undermining public interests. NRDC experts use data and science to unearth the root causes of the problems that confront us. We use that information to blueprint transformative solutions, and we mobilize the support of partners, members, and activists to advocate for laws and policies that will protect our environment far into the future.

Through collaborative partnerships, we support innovative projects that protect vulnerable wildlife from extinction. In 1998, Leonardo DiCaprio established his foundation with the mission of protecting the world’s last wild places. LDF implements solutions that help restore balance to threatened ecosystems, ensuring the long-term health and well-being of all Earth’s inhabitants. Since that time the Leonardo DiCaprio Foundation (LDF) has worked on some of the most pressing environmental issues of our day.
Through grantmaking, public campaigns and media initiatives, LDF brings attention and needed funding to six program areas -- Wildlands Conservation, Oceans Conservation, Climate Change, Indigenous Rights, Transforming California, and Innovative Solutions.. Several successful fundraising events have enabled LDF to scale up our grantmaking strategy, driving support for vitally important projects around the globe.

The Club is America's largest and most influential grassroots environmental organization. Inspired by nature, we are more than 3 million of your friends and neighbors, working together to protect our communities and the planet. We know actions speak louder than words. That’s why we’ve built a national community of volunteers, advocates, and grassroots activists who show up when and where it counts. Our supporters have the tools and resources to make themselves heard in nearly every district in every state across the country. From securing protection for 439 parks and monuments, to winning passage of the Clean Air and Endangered Species Acts, to putting over 274 coal plants on the path to replacement with clean energy, to securing the right of every kid in America to visit a national park, we have an unmatched record of success and impact. The Sierra Club is leading the fight to protect wild places and fragile ecosystems, reduce dependence on fossil fuels, and build a clean energy future.

Our mission is to create parks and protect land for people, ensuring healthy, livable communities for generations to come. Every park, playground, and public space we create is an open invitation to explore, wonder, discover, and play. We're proud to say that we've been connecting communities to the outdoors—and to each other—since 1972. Today, millions of Americans live within a 10-minute walk of a park or natural area we helped create, and countless more visit every year.

Nearly 663 million people in our world don’t have access to clean drinking water. Unsafe water and lack of basic sanitation cause 80% of diseases and kill more people every year than all forms of violence, including war.
The good news: there are simple solutions, from deep drilled wells to water filtration systems. And with the help of 1,000,000+ donors and individual fundraisers, we're forming a strong force against the water crisis.

Our vision is of a peaceful and sustainable world based on societies living in harmony with nature.
We envision a society of interdependent people living in dignity, wholeness and fulfilment in which equity and human and peoples' rights are realized.
This will be a society built upon peoples' sovereignty and participation. It will be founded on social, economic, gender and environmental justice and be free from all forms of domination and exploitation, such as neoliberalism, corporate globalization, neo-colonialism and militarism.
We believe that our children's future will be better because of what we do.

Together, we create science-based solutions for a healthy ocean and the wildlife and communities that depend on it. Ocean Conservancy is working hard to see that the ocean's most extraordinary places are preserved for future generations to use and enjoy. One of the things I’m most proud of at Ocean Conservancy is that we tackle the greatest global challenges facing our ocean today.
Even more, we focus on long-term solutions that promote a healthy ocean, abundant wildlife and thriving coastal communities.
What happens to the ocean impacts all of us. The ocean is our responsibility, but we can’t do it alone—we need to join forces with you and people around the world to keep our ocean and our coastal communities healthy and prosperous.

The Environmental Working Group’s mission is to empower people to live healthier lives in a healthier environment. With breakthrough research and education, we drive consumer choice and civic action.
We are a non-profit, non-partisan organization dedicated to protecting human health and the environment.
We work for you. Do you know what's in your tap water? What about your shampoo? What’s lurking in the cleaners underneath your sink? What pesticides are on your food? How about the farms, fracking wells and factories in your local area? Do you know what safeguards they use to protect your water, soil, air and your kids? Which large agribusinesses get your tax dollars and why? What are GMOs? What do they do to our land and water?
More than two decades ago EWG set out to answer these questions, and more, and to empower you to get to know your environment and protect your health.

WE ARE WOMEN AND GIRLS FROM EVERY CORNER OF THE PLANET BUILDING A LIFESTYLE REVOLUTION TO FIGHT THE CLIMATE CRISIS.
We're taking the first steps by inspiring 1 million women to take practical action on climate change in their everyday lives to cut carbon dioxide (CO2), the main greenhouse pollutant leading to climate change.
If 1 million women all cut 1 tonne each of carbon pollution, it would equal to 1 million tonnes of carbon dioxide. This is the equivalent of growing a new forest of 5 million trees. We're building a lifestyle revolution to fight the climate crisis and we need you. Will you join the movement. Join us and be counted. We are a mass movement of women and girls transforming society by taking practical action on climate change in our everyday lives to cut pollution, reduce waste, save energy and lead change!

Farm Sanctuary was founded in 1986 to combat the abuses of factory farming and encourage a new awareness and understanding about farm animals. As one of the nation’s largest animal sanctuaries, Farm Sanctuary has rescued thousands of animals and has cared for them at its sanctuaries in New York and California. At Farm Sanctuary, animals are friends, not food. The organization educates millions of people about the plight of farm animals and the negative impacts of factory farming on health, the environment and social justice. Farm Sanctuary also advocates for laws and policies that prevent suffering and promote compassion, and it reaches out to legislators and businesses to bring about institutional reforms.
Farm Sanctuary remains committed to ending cruelty to farm animals and promoting compassionate vegan living through rescue, education, and advocacy efforts. Please join us. A compassionate world begins with you!
We rescue and rehabilitate abused and neglected farmed animals by creating a safe haven where these individuals can recover and thrive.
We envision a world in which farmed animals are seen as individuals and treated with empathy and compassion.

One Tree Planted is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit on a mission to make it simple for anyone to help the environment by planting trees! We fund reforestation projects in North America, South America, Africa, and Asia by working with local communities and only native tree species that are grown in nearby nurseries.
Every project focus is different, and can include forest fire restoration, agroforestry, watershed health, biodiversity and habitats, environmental disaster recovery, climate, and social impact. Many projects have overlapping objectives, creating a combination of benefits that contribute to the UN's Sustainable Development Goals.
Beyond such projects, we believes that truly engaging people who want to have a personal experience is critical to raising awareness through action. That's why we organize volunteer events throughout the world in order to help get more hands in the dirt, create educational materials about the environment for students and teachers, and provide ways for businesses to contribute to this greater mission. By engaging our community around sustainability and directly giving back to nature, we hope to make a meaningful and positive difference for the planet.
