It's important to know where and how your flowers are grown. The impact you have on this decision affects not only you, but the growers and the environment. We have comprised a collection of responsible, ethical florists and farms who have put thoughtfulness, and compassion and sustainability into growing their flowers. Also we have included companies who "share" wedding flowers with other couples which reduces waste and the carbon footprint.

It filled me with joy to see the smiles the flowers brought to their faces - flowers provided me with a wonderful way to connect with my local community.
Today, I continue to get enormous pleasure from creating floral arrangements for all occasions. My creations rejoice in the natural beauty of my local environment where I love to forage through the fields + woods on my rural property to collect natural seasonal foliage.
I also harvest flowers, herbs and veggies from my own diverse garden some special gardening friends and, upon request, I can source specialty feature flowers from near and far and seasonally from the market.
My intuitive creativity welcomes the potential for inspiring collaborations and botanical adventures!
The Floral Forager provides beautiful, wild and whimsical botanic styling for weddings, events, businesses, workshops and everyday at home.
I am based in the Macedon Ranges + deliver to within 50kms because local is lovely!

Revel Petals is committed to pursuing organic and sustainable practices from the types of materials we use for arrangement construction, to the very flowers themselves.
According to the U.S. Department of Agriculture, 80% of cut flowers in the U.S. are imported. The carbon footprint for these imported blooms is substantial, not to mention the chemicals involved in growing quickly and preserving these flowers for their long journey. Pesticides are now being found in our rivers and lakes across the globe, leading to a variety of illnesses in both humans and wildlife, and the cut flower industry is a major contributor. Unfortunately, this is the terrible truth behind the floral industry.
We think our arrangements should be joy-infused and earth-friendly. To that end, Revel Petals maintains our own organic garden to populate your project. Have a particular bloom in mind? If you give us enough lead time, we might just plant it especially for you. We will also sources locally to California Flower Farmers, or will seek out American grown blooms for harder to find varieties, giving priority to Organic farmers. While this may create extra work on our part, Revel Petals believes our earth is too important to cut corners and buy pesticide ridden, imported blooms. We hope this gives you peace of mind, too!

Sustainable Approach -
We take every effort to make sustainable choices. We go by the rule of local, first. British Columbia has an incredible capability to produce amazing flowers. While there are a few things that we can't get here yet, we are committed to a local first approach and are working every day to expand our network of local farmers and increase our local offerings. This means more than 88% of the flowers we use are grown locally. This allows us to have a very small carbon footprint. Many shops toss out a whopping 35% of their flowers each week. We have a less than 3% toss away rate. No flower gets left behind!
Picture Perfect -
We have all been there. You order flowers for your mom, friend, dog whatever and you get a disappointing underwhelming version of what you thought you ordered. This is so common when ordering flowers online. So often the place you order from is not who fills your order which means no quality control. To combat rampant “floral order disappointment dis-order,” we email you a photo of the beautiful bouquet being sent out on your behalf. No disappointment included.
Luxury Artistic Design-
We are anything but cookie cutter designers here at Bespoke Blossoms. Our talented designers are given creative license to create unique floral masterpieces in every arrangement we send out. We use the best of the best blooms for every bouquet. How Bespoke Blossoms Bouquets work, we have shaken things up around here and we hope you love our bouquets as much as we do! You choose your size and what the occasion is and we create the rest! This way every bouquet is made with our customer in mind. Our massive Bespoke Bouquets are show-stoppers every time!

“Born out of love for the land and the gifts growing at our feet. Sharing an innate love for the plants, the animals and each other, Kintala Flowers creates environmentally friendly, thoughtful, floral design, inspired by the wild and woven with magic and meaning. ”
THOUGHTFUL FLOWERS
For centuries flowers and herbs have been an integral part of loving unions, celebrations and ceremony throughout the world. A well loved wedding guest the flowers were invited for reasons beyond what we now consider to just be their decorative qualities.
Thoughtful gift givers; the plants bring with them unlimited wisdom, scent, beauty, symbolism, folklore and healing properties, and we believe it is their essence, their magic, that settles into our minds like confetti, creating memories and joy in our hearts for years to come.
Using only nature friendly processes, we work with the flowers to weave these qualities into our creations, creating thoughtful floral design for weddings, handfastings, parties and events.
ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY FLORAL DESIGN
“ Replenishment, restoration and renewal” ”
These are words that whisper into everything we do at Kintala Flowers, implicating natural solutions in both our growing & floral design. Wether it be through choosing to only arrange with British and seasonal flowers, composting our waste, reusing and reducing our plastic and water consumption, right down to smaller details like tying off bouquets with ethically made, naturally plant dyed ribbons. Everything we do has consideration for our environmental impact, and we constantly work to try and give back with gratitude in any way that we can.
Flowers arranged by us celebrate the seasons and will only ever be grown by us or by another UK grower or ethically sourced, arranged using nature friendly techniques in a way to cause no harm to the environment.
The way in which we have chosen to grow our own flowers and herbs actually has a positive environmental effect, it goes above and beyond "organic" and it is in fact regenerative.
The techniques we use will never involve spraying your flowers with harsh chemicals for a longer life or poking stems into floral foam, we are proud to be ‘foam free florists’ ! This means at your request everything is completely compostable and can go back to provide food for the next generation of flowers.
Treading as lightly as is possible within the wedding industry is one of our primary goals. The natural world deserves our respect and our protection, and the plants amaze us everyday at how freely and unconditionally they offer us their gifts, casting their magic, making your celebration, beautiful, meaningful and memorable.

We grow up to 50 varieties of in-season flowers and our specialty is dahlias. Each season we harvest over 1500 of these beauties in every shape and colour.
A wide variety of classic cottage flowers can also be found in our gardens.
We farm with nature and the environment in mind, totally avoiding any chemical sprays. Recycling and rejuvenation are always forefront in the operation of our flower farm.
We acknowledge that our flowers are grown on traditional lands of the Dja Dja Wurrung. Our respect to the Elders of these traditional lands is offered and, through them, to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander peoples, past and present. Our flower farm journey began in 2014 when we found it quite difficult to source locally-grown and organically-grown flowers for our wedding! We learnt that although the majority of flowers purchased in the Melbourne area are grown within Australia, most have been heavily sprayed with pesticides, synthetic fertlizers, or harmful chemicals. This, along with our passion to use our beautiful piece of land to support our family, gave rise to the creation of Fleurs de Lyonville.
Our flowers are noticeably different from those you will normally see for sale at the grocery stores and wholesale markets. We are immensely proud that when you buy our flowers, you will see beautiful little beneficial insects such as ladybirds crawling among the petals! It is hard work looking after our crops organically, but we take a lot of satisfaction when our customers comment on how they feel their children are ‘safe’ running through our flower patch and handling our blooms.
As we only supply to the local area, you know that our flowers will be incredibly fresh and long-lasting, and can have piece of mind that they have not been delivered from a great distance, reducing their carbon footprint. We grow flowers that do well in our climate and don’t go out of our way to ‘cheat’ when it comes to a flower’s natural growing season and conditions.
We grow and design flowers to sell to a variety of local florists and artisan groceries, and hope to very soon begin selling at Accredited Farmer’s Markets in the Melbourne region. We offer DIY wedding buckets in collaboration with other ‘bee-friendly’ micro flower farms near to us, and in the near future, will be offering a full wedding service for brides-to-be.
Our main focus at The Never Ending Flower Farm is to produce high quality cut flowers to local florists, designers and to our brides. We do not use any harsh chemicals on our flowers and practice responsible land stewardship. The main crops we are growing are peonies, dahlias and hydrangea paniculata. Our upcycled flowers project has been received by some very happy recipients & it feels right to be giving back ethically & doing something with such a positive response. Weddings make me SO happy, there is so much raw and beautiful emotion put into a couples wedding day and I truly adore being a part of each and every one. I consider myself an eco-florist. Meaning that I aim to source as locally as possible, use sustainable materials and recycle, compost and up-cycle at every possible moment!
It’s a way of life to me, so it just comes naturally.
I also offer an upcycled flowers service (with your blessings), collecting the leftover wedding florals and re-gifting them to people who need a pick-me-up or a “thank you” for providing important services to our local community and prevent your wedding blooms from going to landfill.
I can even donate to a particular church, nursing home or special location of your choice!

Designing without the use of harmful florist’s foam
I decided from the start to learn other ways of designing, such as working with chicken wire, and to steer clear of floral foam altogether. It seems too much of a contradiction to celebrate the beauty of nature through flowers, whilst simultaneously damaging our planet. Re-purposing flowers
After a wedding or event, flowers are often just thrown out. After all the love, thought, time, care and money put into arrangements, it’s a bit of a shame to do this! I’m thrilled to be able to partner with some amazing organisations creating real change in the world. However little it might be to begin with, I have committed to donating 5% of profits to support worthy causes both locally and globally.

Floral Designer creating romantic garden style weddings and events. Using local growers and sustainable floral practices 🍃 I've been playing with flowers most of my life. A gift from my Grandmother who had a beautiful garden in Monterey, CA. I love to create the movement you find in nature, using lots of textures, and allowing each flower to have space to shine amongst all the others...a garden in a vase or bouquet. I think the time in my Grandmothers garden inspired this in my floral designs. I am a avid gardener myself (totally Urban style but it works) and now have a cutting garden that I use in my designs.
After ten plus years of working in the floral industry, I started Kat's Flower Affair in Los Gatos, CA. Being independent allows me to spend personal time with my clients, which is key when designing for your home, business — and especially a wedding!
Weddings are my specialty and I love the process of working with a couple to bring their vision to life. You may not have a clear vision and that's okay, I can help you bring it to life. I believe it is all the small details that make your wedding yours and yours alone. It is a very special day in your lives and bringing magic through flowers is my goal. I can't wait to see what we will create for your wedding day.

The Local Flower Collective was established in 2018 to further the development of Ontario flower growers and promote environmentally conscious design practices. The Collective is run by a thriving community of local growers and florists that are passionate about celebrating the entire stage of a flowers life – seed to vase!
Together, many thoughtful hands formed this group as a space where seasonality and Ontario’s unique bounty could be at the forefront of floral design. Our goal is to provide more support to local growers, while putting the most unusual flower varieties into the hands of designers. The more beauty bursting out into the streets the better!
Located in Toronto’s Junction neighbourhood, The Collective is a hub of activity May through October as the fields are in full flush during those months. It’s a space where: growers drop off their weekly harvests for florist pickups; a communal design studio available for rent by The Collective members; and a prop rental atelier for weddings, workshops and events.

The "farm" isn't the typical farm of rolling acres, but rather, we're a tiny urban farm. "We" encompasses myself, my husband (Graham) and our two daughters (Emma and Janey) plus any other unsuspecting family member I can rope in! We love to get our hands dirty and sweat on our brows. We hand select each variety grown and source each seed, corm, bulb, tuber and cutting. We source only the highest quality all from US companies and other small scale farmers. We're drawn to growing the unusual and heirloom varieties. From selection to sowing the seed to planting. My husband and I have hand dug each row and pulled tons of river rocks out! It truly is a labor of love.
We began our flower farming journey with a mere 2,000 square feet of growing space but we planted intensely and succession planted, this allowed us to have a continuous supply of blooms all season long. Now, we are embarking in the next leg of our journey, with our new property we have a good quarter acre of unloved dirt that we are working on healing to become a thriving flower farm!
We are conscious of our impact on the environment and the ecosystem within our gardens and beyond. We are committed to only using sustainable growing practices. By that, we mean, we are committed to adding to the earth’s health, not depleting it. Before our flowers become bouquets and centerpieces for you, they are food sources and homes to the bees and other beneficial insects. This approach rewards us with blooms that are more fragrant, long lasting, and simply enchanting.

As an artist whose medium comes straight from nature, I feel a tremendous responsibility to respect and protect the Earth. Care is taken to source sustainable, local & USA grown blooms, whenever possible and use rainforest alliance certified flowers if sourcing from outside of the US. I use and reuses responsible mechanics, meaning no floral foam. This is by no means the easy way, and not always the most economical, but I am committed to doing my part for the health of this planet & its' inhabitants.
The beauty, presence and meaning of flowers can effect us emotionally on a deep level. I believe that because flowers are literally rooted in nature, they are a tie to the natural world that is hard to come by in the hustle and bustle of these busy, modern times.
Wether an event, wedding, joyful or somber occasion, flowers nourish your soul.

We are a small cut flower farm near Praze-an-Beeble in West Cornwall with a passion for beautifully natural floral designs inspired by seasonal availability. Sustainability and environmental responsibility are at the heart of what we do. We specialise in growing stunning seasonal British flowers for local weddings, events, farmers markets, florists and businesses. Fresh. Seasonal. Local. Slow Grown. British Flowers . . . . what could be better!?
Our flowers and foliage are all grown from seed and nurtured by us in our cutting patch. We think British flowers are amazing! Far from being a compromise, there are an abundance of stunning varieties that just love to grow in this country and we really enjoy working in harmony with nature and embracing each season to showcase these terrific blooms and local foliages all year round.
We are passionate about sustainability and being kind to our environment. Repurposing egg boxes as seed trays, harvesting rainwater, making our own compost and using recycled paper for flower wraps are just a few of the things we do to ensure our environmental impact is minimal. If you would like beautiful flowers that don’t cost the earth we would love to talk to you!

CONSCIOUS CREATIVE FLORISTRY
Our floral designs are informed by the seasons and natural surroundings. Clients we collaborate with know intimately the enchantment of Vermont and New England, and we consider it an honor to distill these elements into our floral work for weddings + events.
Flowers are one of the special joys that make life beautiful. They’re an excellent medium for celebrations, events, exploring creativity, or just conjuring a smile.
What is conscious floristry?
It means we organically grow rather than import many of the flowers used in our designs. We’re on a mission to change how flowers are consumed in the US. Currently 80%(!) of the flowers enjoyed in this country are imported. Many of the countries growing these flowers are using toxic pesticides - not to mention the carbon footprint of overnight shipping perishable product from far-flung lands. We flip this stat around, aiming to use 80% local and American-grown blooms in our designs.
The use of floral foam is another dirty little industry secret. Those green bricks that hold water for arrangements also never biodegrade, and expose florists to toxic chemicals. You won’t find it here. Working without it requires ingenuity and a supportive budget but we, along with our mindful clients, are committed to sustainability - from seed to centerpiece.
It sounds bleak, and not what you want to think about when envisioning beautiful blooms. I hear you - me neither! So that’s why we started a farm, why we work with a network of local growers we know and trust to fill the balance, and why we do our homework when needing to source flowers we can’t grow.

Sweet Alyssum Farm was founded by me, Alyssa O’Sullivan, in Washington State. The farm is a space to grow unique and specialty cut flowers to nurture the creativity within our local floral community, while also nurturing the earth, animals and people we touch along the way. Using only sustainable and organic practices, the farm is a refuge for pollinators, salmon, flower-loving humans, fairies, sprites… we welcome everyone (except maybe aphids).
WHAT CAN SWEET ALYSSUM DO FOR YOU?
As a small, creatively-run farm we are open to all sorts of collaborations and projects. Contact me with your ideas! Here are some of the ways we share our flowers:
WHY SWEET ALYSSUM FLOWERS?
What’s the first thing you do when someone gifts you a bouquet? My guess is you stick your face in and take a whiff. Did you know imported flowers lose so much of their natural smell? Plus, they often undergo fungicide sprays and other strange environments in transit. Buying locally grown flowers, like the blooms at Sweet Alyssum, not only means you’re supporting your local farmers and community, you’re also filling your space and nose with safe and fresh floral scents! Plus, you’ll find a selection of specialty flowers that aren’t available everywhere. There’s a lot of love that goes into these flowers, and I can’t wait to share with you. Thanks for visiting!

I traveled a lot during the beginning years. The flower hunger was tremendous and I wanted to learn from the big international florists who create wild, untamed work.
To shape with this new way, a new need arose.
I longed for varieties of flowers that I could not get in the wholesale and most of the varieties did not appeal to my senses.
So I set up my own cutting garden and I constantly expand my knowledge and bedding areas ...
(I negotiate with my family every year to exchange some lawn for bedding ...)
When I ask myself about the meaning of this all, I hope to change the perspective of working with flowers in our country, in my environment, and preferably the entire floristry.
Floristry is an industry that often works with nature and thereby destroys nature and makes it ill.
I want to change that.
We do not need foil, floral foam or leaf gloss… or roses from Ecuador. Not to mention the many pesticides.
In my way of working with flowers, I experience again and again that nature bestows on us richly. Everything is available in abundance. It is up to us to look and live a conscious life.

The Bell Jar is my flower studio, and is based in the glorious county of Nottinghamshire. Home to a growing British flower farm movement in its beautiful, largely undiscovered countryside, the county is known for its rich heritage of creative textile and lace making.
All my life I have been interested in nature, architecture, interiors, design, books, theatre and the arts. I founded The Bell Jar to provide a natural style of floristry, with an emphasis on design and creativity.
Using British flowers wherever possible is really important to me, as is the use of sustainable materials and favouring conventional techniques (such as the use of chicken wire and flower frogs for structuring arrangements) championed by the horticulturalist Gertrude Jekyll and floral decorator Constance Spry.
I specialise in seasonal, natural arrangements which draw on the traditions of overgrown English gardens and are influenced by the beautiful Nottinghamshire landscapes around me. Expect hellebores in winter, delicate anemones in spring, garden roses in summer and bold dahlias in autumn.
I provide flowers for events, weddings and sympathy in Nottinghamshire, Leicestershire, Derbyshire and throughout the whole of the East Midlands. I also really enjoy collaborations and styled shoots.

My name is Marie. As a child, I drew a lot, very early drawn to colors, materials, textures, I dreamed of being a painter.
As a young adult, I left my Bordeaux life to study in Lyon and Paris, cognitive sciences and ergonomics. However, I lacked a share of creativity, nature and freedom.
A city dweller at heart, with a hectic life, it is at Cap Ferret that I recharge my batteries and escape. It is the place of my childhood, family memories. In summer as in winter, I appreciate the calm and the proximity of this wild and preserved nature.
In 2012, I lost one parent and I accompanied the other in a long illness. I return to Cap Ferret, enjoy my house now, my garden, find my roots, and I discover there late, hands in the ground, my taste for nature and gardens.
It was in these trials that my desire to become a florist was born. As a matter of course, I find there a way to express my creativity, the freedom to undertake and above all a lot of happiness.
Merry Blossom was born to illustrate this journey that I made towards myself.

Hey, I'm Chas! I can't promise I won't go over the top on your flowers or make you laugh hysterically at my IG stories.
There's no reason professional can't also be fun. I grew up gardening with my Grandma outside of Portland, Oregon and that youthful curiosity & charisma has followed me my entire floral career. Before committing to floral design full time, I spent ten years as a Talent Agent in Los Angeles and beyond. Working in other floral shops, at the Portland Floral Market, and even a grocery store floral department, I finally had the courage to branch out onto my own- and I've never looked back.
I believe beauty doesn't have to break the bank.
Part of my joy and my challenge is to come up with creative ways to save you money, whilst still delivering a beautiful event. I want you to feel celebrated and in the company of gorgeous flowers, but I also wholeheartedly want you to have money to put towards a down payment on a house, a honeymoon or a new car, you get it. I got married in 2018 and I know how expensive & overwhelming the process can be. Let me help.

Offering Floral Design throughout Southern California. Eco Friendly, Foam Free. CA and USA Grown Flowers. When I was in college and life would get tough around midterms and finals my friend and I would talk about opening up a flower shop instead of continuing through the demands of getting a degree. We felt that flowers would make anyone happy and that is what we wanted; to bring more happiness to people’s lives. Alas, I decided to take the college graduate path and I became a physical therapist.
Fast-forward 20+ years and I continue to work part-time as a PT in home health care where seniors are our primary clients. I have been able to provide clients with the ability to heal their physical deficits. What I have not been able to do through physical therapy is heal their souls. I found that every time I bring flower arrangements to an assisted living facility EVERYONE smiles. I have now come full circle and am living my dream of bringing happiness and a smile to those for which I create floral designs.

We provide full-service floral design for events. Our floral arrangements are crafted in recycled and reused vessels, an approach that creates interesting contrasts and unexpectedly stylish details: peonies in reclaimed wooden crates, bridal bouquets tied with richly-colored antique ribbon, a vintage footed bowl overflowing with a seasonal mix of blooms.
The sensibility is lush and natural, sophisticated yet wild, loose yet refined, and of-the-moment yet timeless.

Hi there, I’m Sarah, and I love everything flowers. Flowers themselves, pressed floral jewellery, floral print anything and old floral paintings. This insane love for fresh flowers and everything botanical started when I was just 14 years old. I worked in a beautiful, prestigious flower shop in Stratford ON, and loved every second of it. I made hand-tied bouquets, washed buckets and conditioned endless stems of fresh product. I learned about customer service, reputation and what makes good design.
I then moved on to university, and subsequently a career in healthcare, where I learned how to care for people. After 5 years of practicing as an RN I decided to retire, and set the wheels in motion to open what I affectionately named The Little Shed Flower Company. A 12’x12’ shed, situated in the back corner of my home property, lovingly built of reclaimed materials, right down to the second hand electrical wire and windows. I made wreaths, hand-tied bouquets wrapped in butcher paper and produced our first big wedding. I took telephone calls and responded to texts from customers ordering my fresh flower designs.
Now, you can find me in a gorgeous old brick and mortar, with a non-traditional retail space that contains locally made artisan goods, potted plants, and a lovely, ever-changing fresh flower bar. I hold workshops, welcome clients into the chic consult space and grow nearly half an acre of local, incredible fresh flowers and foliage.
I love texture, dimension, movement and unexpected colour palettes in my floral design. I firmly believe that more is more when it comes to flowers and foliage and that the best designs are artfully executed with mother nature in mind. I take cues from the seasons, forage from wherever is ethically responsible, and genuinely love what I do. Nice to meet you.
PS I love lattes with almond milk and maple syrup, floral tattoos, cozy little cottages and vintage clothes. Oh, and my dog Sneaks.

Our customers are friends and neighbors who, over the years, have become family. Local creators, whose hands are part of every process of making their goods, produce many of the objects we carry. The seasonal flowers we use in our arrangements are grown in and around Philadelphia at small farms, and are harvested and delivered to us by the same farmers who planted the seeds. Any of our products or flowers not locally produced or grown are always sourced responsibly and ethically.
Our hope is that Vault + Vine becomes for each person who walks through the door what it has become for us: an urban oasis in the East Falls neighborhood of Philadelphia; an atmosphere of abundance and respite; a space for beauty, whimsy, and rejuvenation.

Flora is a small, woman-run farm and floral design business located in the heart of the Siskiyou Mountains in Williams, Oregon. We grow seasonal flowers and foliage in our sustainably managed fields and have been providing exceptional quality blooms for Southern Oregon weddings, special events, and discerning flower clientele for over a decade. We take great care to tend the soil that sustains us with good food and livelihood. We are committed to regenerative farming practices-- we don’t use chemical fertilizers, pesticides or herbicides. Instead, we practice the art of biodynamic farming and regularly use the biodynamic preparations and biodynamic compost in our field. We rely on the moon and stars to guide us with our planting times. It sounds hard to believe, but growing over 100 different kinds of flowers and foliage on 1 acre is possible! Our diversity is achieved with good planning, healthy crop rotations, consistent soil building through cover cropping, composting, and natural amendments, growing both annuals and perennials, and using unheated greenhouses and low tunnels. We grow what is appropriate for our climate in its proper time, and we responsibly wildcraft greenery from local forests to add to our offerings.
Our approach to flower farming is significantly different than that of conventional large-scale flower production, where flowers are cloned and grafted in laboratories, grown in chemically-intensive monocultures that harm farm workers and the earth, harvested by machines, dipped in chemical fungicides prior to shipping, and packed and transported across oceans and continents. These are how most flowers available at the grocery store and florist’s are grown.
Imagine the carbon footprint and toxic load of a bouquet of roses! In contrast, at Flora we limit our use of fossil fuels and toxic chemicals on the farm by growing primarily from seed and bulb (not starts), by operating the tractor conservatively, in harvesting by hand, and by strictly following organic practices . If we need to buy in additional flowers for an event to satisfy a customer’s request, we only source material from other local, organic flower growers in Southern Oregon.
Bloomerent helps to reduce the carbon footprint the cut flower industry leaves behind by allowing two events in close proximity to "share" their flowers. When flowers are reused, floral waste is reduced and a full round of fuel needed to transport flowers, water required for growth and storage and pesticides that are used to treat flowers are eliminated entirely.

OUR GREEN MISSION
To provide beautiful, affordable fresh flower alternatives to facilitate an eco-conscious shift in the wedding industry.
We believe that we can all do more to reduce the waste generated by weddings. Our purpose as a business is to make sustainable choices easier by providing beautiful, affordable options. We strive to make these choices accessible to everyone through affordability and inclusivity. In 2018, my sister got engaged and began planning her wedding. Like any excited sister, I was with her at every step.
But when it came to florals we were quickly overwhelmed.
After spending hours online browsing floral inspiration we learned a few things. Magnolias are expensive. Peonies wilt immediately in hot sun. And she definitely did not want to spend the honeymoon fund just to get the dreamy Orchids on her inspiration board.
But as we looked at other options, like DIY’ing fresh flowers or purchasing silk flowers, there was no good balance between cost, convenience, and beauty.
Ordering bulk fresh flowers was cost effective, but assembling them the day before the wedding would be time consuming and worry-some… not to mention the hassle of cool storage and transportation. And silk flowers were usually ugly plastic or insanely expensive – sometimes more expensive than fresh!
We finally decided to invest in a set of quality silk flowers with the hopes of passing the set off to the next couple after the wedding… and we were overwhelmed by like-minded, conscious consumers like us interested in borrowing flowers for their big day. So just like that Silk Stem Collective was born!
Since then, we’ve grown to offer 8 different collections (and more on the way!) of the highest quality silk flowers so that more brides and grooms can get beautiful flowers at a reasonable cost.
My sister and I designed bouquets that we would want at prices we would pay, with the goal of making them versatile enough to fit every wedding vision but special enough to make you feel like a one-of-a-kind bride or groom.
We also created a blog called “The Greenhouse” which is filled with our thoughts on flowers, trends, and tidbits we’ve learned throughout the wedding planning process.
And of course, we always love to hear from you. Reach out to us with your comments, ideas, or anything on social media or by email!
We look forward to making your floral dreams a reality.
