FlyGRN in a nutshell: FlyGRN compares the lowest price of flight tickets from airlines and merchants in one place. Best of all, for each flight sold, we offset the carbon (CO2) emissions of your flight. We pay that with the fee for bringing you in as a customer. We do this because we think it is important that carbon offsetting happens. So you don’t have to pay anything extra for carbon offsetting. And because we compare more than six flight ticket sites at once, you usually also find the best price. So, start comparing the same flights including free CO2 compensation at FlyGRN.com.
Flights of FlyGRN more expensive? No, not at all!
Because offsetting your flight is done with our own income, your flight is often just as expensive as at other sites that compare flights. In some cases flights are even cheaper. That is possible because we search multiple airline ticket sites at once and choose the best flight prices for you.
Compare flight tickets with free carbon offsetting
Less than 1% of travelers offsets their flight’s carbon emissions. We therefore compensate part of your flight's carbon emissions with our own income from selling your flight tickets. We offset by supporting solar panel projects in India that displace fossil fuels. Could you imagine how many solar panels we can built if everyone would book their flight via FlyGRN? Oh, and yes, we also show train alternatives if there are any, since traveling by train is way more sustainable!
Why is carbon offsetting included in our flights?
We think it is important that more people compensate for their flight’s emissions, because although it is better not to fly, sometimes you have to. In those cases, carbon offsetting makes sense and the supported projects have a huge carbon reducing impact. The solar panel project in India that we support offers hundreds of thousands of people with clean energy. That is why we have chosen to pay for your carbon offsetting from our own pocket, from the margins that we earn from selling your flight.

We live in a time when exploring the world is no longer a privilege. More and more new forms of travel are emerging, enabling our generation to travel to remote parts of the world, even without money. Volunteer opportunities, home exchanges and scholarship programs are just a few examples of these new ways of travel.
At the same time, tourism is responsible for more than 8% of global greenhouse gas emissions with an estimated increase of its carbon footprint on the planet. Fueled by air transportation as a Nr. 1 contributor to global warming, the tourism industry is rapidly growing.
Considering these facts, our generation is stuck with a dilemma between traveling and being environmentally conscious. We want to see the world, experience other cultures and lands, however we care about the environment and are concerned about our impact on the planet. These two priorities can, to many of us, seem impossible to retain. Our goal is to resolve this dilemma by exploring and promoting a more sustainable way to travel.
Sustainable tourism is the concept of visiting somewhere as a tourist and trying to make a positive impact on the environment, society, and economy. What does this mean?
The environmental aspect: This pillar means minimizing our carbon footprint and having a positive impact on the environment while travelling. This includes reduced energy and water usage, recycling waste and respecting wildlife.
The social aspect: The social pillar is about our attitude towards local people and communities while traveling. If we support local businesses, eat local food and get involved in local initiatives, we fulfil the social aspect of sustainable tourism.
The economic aspect: The economic pillar means that we use our money in a way which is profitable for the local economy. We can do this by participating in local initiatives, buying locally made products and food and stay at an accommodation where local people are employed.
Our mission is to provide you with all the necessary information in form of articles, tips and recommendations to help you travel in a more sustainable way
