From the tea and teaware we source and use, the waste-conscious approach to packaging, to our transparency in our business, our simple but strong set of values is a commitment to the highest quality and lowest possible impact.

Personalisation is a key aspect for us, we put a lot of time and effort into finding and tailoring our products to suit our customers` needs. We introduced our subscription service in order to create an even closer relationship with those who drink our tea.

We are committed to reducing our impact on the environment and want our business to be as environmentally sustainable as possible. This is why all our postal packaging is 100% biodegradable already and all of our product packaging will be completely eco-friendly or zero-waste by the end of 2018.

We launched a very special product, our Camden Giving Tea. With every pack you buy, you donate £2.50 to the charity Camden Giving! Our business started out in Camden Town and this is our way of giving back to this amazing community.

Hardwood Park Craft Brewery

Our beer is inspired by the diverse climate, agriculture, and community that surrounds us. We take great pride in supporting local growers, brewing with more Virginia ingredients than any other brewery and highlighting the eclectic variety of flavors that only Virginia-grown products can provide. Through our Virginia Roots Series and other small-batch beers, we have brewed with Virginia-sourced hops, malted barley, blackberries, raspberries, blueberries, pumpkins, peaches, honey, ginger, locally roasted coffee beans, herbs, and spices.

Preserving our environment is built into the very core of our brand. Hardywood was the first brewery in Virginia powered entirely by renewable energy, including solar, biomass, and wind through the Dominion Virginia Green Power Program. We package with 100% recycled materials, work with local farms to reuse our spent grain as compost and feed, and a number of our beers are brewed in support of organizations dedicated to environmental awareness and protection. For these efforts and more, we were honored to be named Virginia Green Brewery of the Year in 2015.

We host a variety of unique events and festivals that unite our community and support local artists, makers, and musicians. Hardywood contributes to countless local and national non-profit organizations per year. Annual beneficiaries include The James River Association, The Virginia Capital Trail Foundation, Ales for ALS, World Pediatric Project and more

We like to call our approach plant-centric because we believe, and know, that plants—fruits, vegetables, nuts, legumes, and whole grains—are the foundation of a healthy diet. That's why the majority of our foods are made from plants, though we also have a variety of non-plant-based protein options to round things out. We look for real ingredients that have been minimally processed, and make sure to include plenty of good-for-you fats, complex carbohydrates, and beneficial vitamins and minerals. You know—the good stuff.

Even more important: what isn't in our food. We never use artificial ingredients, preservatives, modified food starches, trans fats, refined sugars, or additives you can't pronounce. We send you clean-ingredient, nutrient-dense food that is quick and easy to prepare. Everything is made without artificial ingredients or refined sugars, and is matched to your dietary preferences, tastes, and lifestyle. Most importantly, our food is delicious and inspiring—we guarantee this is healthy food you'll look forward to day after day.

Luisa's Vegan Chocolates

The chocolate making process starts by directly sourcing the finest cacoa beans, working closely with the farmers themselves. As a chocolate maker, Luisa then slowly roasts the beans, winnowing them to extract the cacao nibs. The crisp dark shells are then produced and filled with a range of indulgent natural ingredients using coconut sugar, coconut milk, Luisa’s own vegan caramel, sticky date, peanut butter, nuts and fruit. All Luisa’s chocolates are made with 100% natural ingredients in line with the healthy Paleo diet, which can be enjoyed with the knowledge that the beans used are able to be traced back to their organic, natural farms. This direct trade ensures the farmers are paid a fair price to enable them to support their families and empower local communities, resulting in chocolate that is not only delicious to eat but ethically produced.

Bee the love

My name is Monique Sourinho! I am a content creator, community enthusiast, recipe curator, and constant admirer of things sourced/grown locally in Connecticut!

With an emphasis on the food movement, I catch myself more and more in awe by the people with immense passion and the outcomes of their love and work ethics put into action.

With that being said, one of my favorite quotes is: “Be the change you wish to see in the world.”

And what better way to be the change than to be the LOVE that binds us together!

Because with love comes growth, and with growth comes the ability to radiate and spread the love even further.

Like bees coming together to pollinate, “Bee the Love” is a concept of celebrating and supporting our local communities by strengthening bonds, shining light on what makes everyone unique yet collectively wonderful, and sharing optimism so we can all flourish and appreciate the nectar this life has to offer!
